Mentioned as early as 1233 and built in its current form in the 15th century, this castle, formerly a fortified farmhouse, has survived the passage of time without losing any of its character. In 1928, inspired by the spectacular view, an Argentinian enthusiast undertakes an ambitious restoration entrusted to Otto Schmid, the renowned architect who also supervised the restoration of the famous Château de Chillon.
The façades are laid bare to reveal the nobility of the ashlars, and the mullioned windows have been carefully preserved. Inside, the dining room conceived by Albert Held, a renowned master joiner from Montreux, bears witness to a exceptional craftsmanship and a rare quest for quality. The monumental fireplace of the living room, the stone staircases, beams and certain doors remind us that we’re in a castle.

For 75 years, the property has belonged to the same family, which has seen five generations come and go, each one breathing new life into the place.
